Samanea saman also known as the Rain tree is a wide-canopied tree with a large symmetrical umbrella-shaped crown. It usually reaches a height of 49 to 82 feet tall. The trunk can measure often ranging from 24 to 48 inches in diameter. The Rain tree has edible fruit pulp that can be made into a beverage tasting like lemons; the pulp is also an additive to gasoline.
